Best Doctor, PA, Nurse Team EVER!!

From beginning to end, and actually beyond, I believe I could never find a better doctor, P.A, nurse team in the entire world to take care of me! Dr. Lynch, Mike Nieraerth P.A & April Reed R.N surpassed any doctor, nurse or PA I have ever been seen by. They go out of their way to treat you like family and Dr. Lynch even made a call to me on the night before my surgery, a Sunday night!, to wish me well and calm my nerves. I could not believe it!! What other doctor can you say does that? I’ve unfortunately had to have three different surgeries within a year and countless others doctor appointments and I can tell you NONE of them went beyond what was required of them, some even rude/dismissive. The world could only wish for all medical persons to treat us with the same respect, care and overall decency. I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Lynch, Mike and April. I thank them all for everything they did and still do for me. THANK YOU!! Lisa White - Fruitland

I would highly recommend Dr. Lynch and his team. From the first visit I felt very confident to this point 10 days post opp. All is going well. REALLY appreciate the call night before surgery to see if I had any questions or concerns.. Looking forward to regaining total use of my arm, bowling, golf etc. I had the reverse shoulder as was recommended.

Rotator Cuff Surgery

I was seriously injured upon falling off my porch roof, all the muscles in the shoulder plus the bicep muscle was torn. I received excellent care from the beginning. Dr. Lynch & the PA Mike were realistic about my diagnosis, excited about how well the surgery went, and steered me through recovery, answering their cell phone when necessary. After months of physical therapy, I'm 70% at capacity realizing that it takes time to fully recover. I'm feeling great and can even lift my arms all the way up easily. Thanks Dr. Lynch & PA Mike! You are miracle workers!.

When I hurt my shoulder I asked friends and acquaintances who are employed in the medical field (Nurses, Operating Room Technicians, Doctors etc.) if it was your shoulder where would go for the best care. In every conversation invariably the name “The Shoulder Clinic of Idaho” came up and the key reasons were.

1. Shoulders are what the “Idaho Shoulder Clinic” does, the shoulder is a very complicated joint, you want a Doctor and Staff who know and understand the intricacies of the shoulder.
2. “The Shoulder Clinic of Idaho” surgeons are top notch; Dr. Joseph Lynch handled my procedure and he was amazing! He was obviously highly skilled, very knowledgeable and he was a great communicator. He took all the time I needed to explain in clear detail the existing issues with my shoulder, the options available and what I should expect post operative.
3. Professional and highly caring staff, his P.A. Michael Nieraeth and RN April Reed are an extension of Dr. Lynch, they were consummate professionals. Their concern and care for my well being was tremendous.

I will always be indebted to “The Shoulder Clinic of Idaho” and Dr. Lynch, P.A. Michael Nieraeth and RN April Reed for putting my shoulder back together.

You will not find a better doctor!

Dr. Lynch is by far the best doctor we have ever been to! His expertise in his field is phenomenal! My Dad had a shoulder surgery that ended up in him not being able to raise his arm past his chest. We went to see Dr. Lynch and he preformed a surgery to repair it, we could not be happier with the results. My Dad is once again able to use his arm/shoulder! Dr. Lynch's care and concern for my Dad was something that you just don't see in doctors now days. From the personal phone call the night before surgery to all the follow-up, he was exceptional, as was his PA Mike, and nurse April! I can also say the same for Dr. Goodwin, as he did my husbands shoulder surgery! Thank you to the whole team at The Shoulder Clinic of Idaho!

I fell in January while helping a widow friend of ours with a tire problem and upon completion of that I started to shovel her driveway because it had snowed the night prior. I didn't realize there was a patch of ice under the snow where the water ran down the chain from the gutters and had puddled and frozen on the driveway. I slipped on the ice and landed on my shoulder. An x-ray indicated a very bad tear to my rotator cuff. We contacted the Shoulder Clinic of Idaho for an appointment and saw Dr. Lynch's PA, Michael. Surgery was scheduled with Dr. Lynch, and while we really didn't know anyone who he had operated on, we felt he would do a good job. I had to wait for 5 months for surgery and due to the constant pain I got very impatient waiting for the time to arrive. It finally did, and the evening prior to the surgery I received a personal phone call from Dr. Lynch telling me he was thinking about me, asking me if I had any questions, and assuring me he would take good care of me during the surgery and would see me bright and early the next morning. I live in constant pain 24 hours a day and have had 9 back surgeries and many other surgeries, however I have never had a surgeon call me the night prior to surgery like Dr. Lynch did. My wife and I were both blown away.

We arrived at St Luke's Meridian at 5:30 am, were checked in very soon afterward and taken off to be prepped for surgery. The anesthesiologist came in and spoke to us about the anesthesia, I was whisked off to surgery and came through it with flying colors. Dr. Lynch went to find my wife in a conference room where the hospital personnel had taken her, and report to her how the surgery went. This doctor and his staff are awesome. My wife spoke with April on the phone several times and she was most pleasant. The RN's at St. Luke's who cared for me were so attentive and took excellent care of me while I was in the hospital.

The food at the hospital prepared by the personnel in the Food Service Dept. was timely, very hot, and most delicious. Overall, my shoulder replacement surgery was a great success. I am two weeks post-op now and doing very well and have had very minimal pain with this surgery. Dr. Joseph Lynch has proved to be an excellent surgeon and I would highly recommend him to anyone who has shoulder problems. Thank you Dr. Lynch, April and Michael. We appreciate all you did for me.

Total Left Shoulder Replacement

Prior to my surgery I had done my research and found that Dr. Lynch is one of the Best Shoulder Replacement Surgeons in the Nation. I came from Northern California to have the Left Shoulder Replacement performed in Boise at the Surgery Center. I have degenerative Osteo Arthritis, and had waited way too long to have the surgery done.. From the first office visit to my post op visit Dr. Lynch, P A Mike and April were in my opinion the "Best in Class!" They all went over and above what I expected to experience, they made me feel confident that I had made the best choice in Surgeons and his staff. At a weeks time post op I was pain free in my left shoulder. I have regained complete use of my left arm and shoulder... I am looking forward to getting my right shoulder replacement performed by Dr. Lynch and PA Mike in the near future. These guys are "THE BEST".

Dr Joseph Lynch

I am in my 70's and have been very active throughout my life, water and snow skiing, windsurfing, mountain biking with many associated dislocations and shoulder injury's. I also suffer from osteoarthritis in both shoulders with many bone spurs effecting the joints. The last three years I have taken up kayaking with a passion and all the joy that comes from that. I have dealt with chronic shoulder pain for so long that I was forgetting what a normal response to life felt like and finally after a couple of referrals, landed at the Shoulder Clinic and in Dr Lynch's office. From the very start I really liked him. My background is in computer engineering and I deeply appreciated his analytical and technical approach to my condition as well as his deep listening to my concerns, fears and where I wanted to end up after the surgery. We did a total shoulder replacement and although it was a lot of work to rehab properly it was not nearly what I expected. Everything he told me about the procedure, the recovery and the results were dead on accurate and exceeded what I thought possible, as bad as the shoulder was. My quality of life was returned to what it was much earlier in my years and I could sleep again, workout, play really hard and be very active without pain. Dr Lynch is a wonderful surgeon and this encompasses so much more than just the surgery itself. Starting out with the staff that teams with him, from the front desk, to his assistant April, to the hospital he does his operations in, the whole thing worked very well for me. Genuinely nice people, very professional, very good communication with me as I go through the hoops needed to get through something that is scary, stressful and emotional. And all the time, answering my questions, being very patient, taking the time to make sure I got to ask what I wanted to and making me feel at ease. Dr Lynch and the whole team approach worked very well for me. So much so that after this kayak season I am scheduled to go in and have the other one done. I highly recommend him.
