Fixed a shoulder no one else could fix

I fell. Went to ER and was told I’d pulled muscles, went to my regular ortho who said there was a slight fracture....after 18 months of pain and limited mobility, my PCP sent me to Dr Lynch. A second MRI showed extensive damage & Dr Lynch said replace it..but... may not be enough bone left. I suggested arthroscopy to clean out debris, fix bone spurs, etc & then he could see if there was enough bone for replacement later. He said..Good idea! Arthroscopy so pain and much more movement within days of surgery, I may not need replacement at all! Thanks for my life back!

by far the finest

Doctor Lynch and his staff are by far the finest I've ever met. Dr. Lynch said he would make my shoulder like new again, and so for after 5 months it feels great. I'm able to swing my golf clubs again with no pain in the shoulder. I'm 73 years of age and have had multiple surgeries in my life time. Never, Have I had a Doctor call me at home before surgery to make sure I was okay, but Doctor Lynch did before and after surgery. There concern for there patience is impeccable.
Thank You Doctor Lynch and staff.

Recommend to anyone.

I had a difficult time with joint replacement--problems with rotator cuff as well as the joint. I had yo have the operation redone and reversed and I had an ordeal with pain and swelling in between surgeries. Going back for the "redo" I had no question about going back to Joe, as he likes to be called. The reverse operation was way tricky--taking out the hardware inside and putting the socket on the top of the femur and the ball on the shoulder. Beautifully done. The best thing about Joe (and his sidekick PA) Mike and April the nurse, the best thing is their friendly and upfront manor. I was one of their family and they took care of me so well since the very first visit. Recommend to anyone.

Dr. Lynch is a very caring and skillful physician, his team replaced my left shoulder joint. I expected to loose some of my range of motion, but to my surprise, it is very good, and no pain which I had suffered from for many years. THANK YOU Dr. Lynch, Michael, and April.

It was truly a pleasure to be treated by him!

My husband just finished up his last appointment with Dr. Lynch at The Shoulder Clinic of Idaho. We can not say enough good things about Dr. Lynch and his team. Not only did he do an EXCELLENT job with the surgery and recovery, but we have never had a doctor who made my husband feel so cared about. We would recommend Dr. Lynch and The Shoulder Clinic to everyone. It was truly a pleasure to be treated by him!

Only doctor that I would fully trust and believe in

At the age of seventy and being a 100% disabled service connected veterans, with also spending over a year in military hospitals alone, after being run over by a car driven by Japanese civilian in Tokyo, Japan. it's a sure bet that I have seen, met, and been examined by close to seventy-five doctors in my life time for different medical problems, most of them being in the Orthopedic field. Both by Military and Veterans Administration doctors before and after medically retiring from the Air Force, along with the majority being Civilian Doctors whom I've met because of their specialty in the Orthopedic field. Out of all these doctors, there is only one doctors that I would fully recommend in the Boise, Idaho. And it gives me great pleasure to say that Dr. Joseph Lynch is one of a very few doctors that I both admire for his personal approach and complete understanding of what his patient are going through both mentally and physical, as well as his unlimited talent as an outstanding Orthopedic Surgeon specializing in the area of complete shoulder replacements along with other shoulder related ailments.
In 2011 I underwent a right total reverse shoulder operation in Lake Tahoe, California. In 2017, that prosthetic reverse shoulder was recalled by FDA on a level one priority, the highest priority possible for being known as defective with an extremely high failure rate. On February of 2018 my right shoulder devise had broken due to it's defective design, which was extremely painful. Another local Orthopedic Doctor that I was seeing at that time for a possible left shoulder replacement had flatly refused to operate on the right shoulder broken prosthetic, I can only imagine, it was because of any further complications on the right shoulder. However, it left me no choice but to place myself and others in danger by driving myself with a broken shoulder devise over four hundred miles that took an excruciating painful eight hours to get proper medical attention by the doctor whom I had known and trusted, and also had done an excellent job on the installation of the first right reverse shoulder.
I only wish at that time, I had known about Dr. Joseph Lynch and his care and concern about his patient and his excellent skill as an Orthopedic Surgeon. Dr. Lynch was not only concerned about my left shoulder, but also my fears of the last failed devise, and also my uneasiness about hospitals due to my prolonged stays in them. He is the only doctor that I have ever known to go far beyond other surgeons, to personally call his patients after being released from the Hospital while convalescing at home on several occasions before their post-operative office visits. I know of no other doctor that has gone to that level of care and concern about his patients, and I'm sure that he dose this for many, if not all of his patients. I have personally recommended him to other friends of mine that have shoulder problems, as the only doctor that I would fully trust and believe in.
